SoDown Has A NEW EP!

SoDown has gradually become one of the biggest names in the local Denver bass music scene. For about a decade now, Griz, Gramatik and Big Gigantic have ruled and blazed the soul funk and dubstep blends with countless collaborations, duos, and of course, the highly treasured triple combo that is “Big Grizmatik”. Though these three projects have reigned “king” over this niche genre in Denver (and the world for that matter), we have yet to see too many emerging artists to continue the growth, or “carry on the legacy” if you will, in the Denver scene… and along comes SoDown.

SoDown has become a Denver favorite, playing at Mission Ballroom, The Ogden and even a pre-pandemic rail jam held in Civic Center Park February 2019. The Boulder-raised artist also happens to be opening for Boogie T at Red Rocks Amphitheater tonight and this EP he released last week is likely the first of many quarantine tracks that will be coming down the pipeline in 2022.

The saxophone and funk style has taken a very aggressive dubstep blend in SoDown’s style and if you aren’t ready for some serious chops and wubs, I recommend you skip this one. This EP is a great step forward for the Denver Soul Funk/Dubstep movement, and we can’t wait to see what’s next! Enjoy!
